By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

• Photographs (profile and family photos)
• Caste, sub-caste, and Gotra (voluntarily provided for matching)
• District, tehsil, and village of residence or origin
• Education, occupation, and income details
• Height, complexion, and other physical attributes (optional)
• Family background — father's/mother's name, siblings, family type
• Religious and dietary preferences
• Horoscope details (optional)

1.3 Communication Data

• Messages exchanged through the in-app chat system
• Interest requests sent or received

1.4 Technical Data

• Device model, OS version, and unique device ID
• App usage logs and session data
• IP address and network information
• Push notification tokens

1.5 Location Data

We collect general location (district/tehsil level) if you grant permission, used solely to improve nearby match suggestions. We do not collect precise GPS location.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your matrimony profile
• To show you compatible matches based on your preferences
• To send match suggestions, interest alerts, and service notifications
• To enable secure in-app communication between matched members
• To verify account authenticity and prevent fraud
• To improve App features, performance, and user experience
• To comply with legal obligations under Indian law

3. Profile Visibility

• Your profile is visible to other registered and verified members of the App.
• You can control visibility of your contact number — it is hidden by default until both parties express mutual interest.
• Photographs are visible to all registered members unless you configure visibility settings.
• Your profile is never shared with or sold to any third-party matrimony service.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only in these limited cases:

• Other App Users: Profile information is shared with other registered users as described above.
• Service Providers: Cloud hosting, push notification services, and analytics providers bound by strict agreements.
• Legal Compliance: When required by Indian law, court order, or government authority.
• Safety: To investigate and address reported misconduct, harassment, or fraud.

5. Data Security

• All data transmitted between the App and our servers is encrypted using TLS 1.3.
• Passwords are hashed using bcrypt — we never store plain-text passwords.
• Sensitive profile fields are encrypted at rest.
• We conduct regular security reviews and vulnerability assessments.

6. Children's Privacy

Himachali Match is intended exclusively for users aged 18 years and above. We do not knowingly register or collect data from users under 18. Any such account discovered will be immediately deleted.

7. Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, your profile, photos, and messages are permanently removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., for fraud investigation).

8. Your Rights

• Access: View all personal data in your profile settings at any time.
• Correction: Edit your profile information at any time within the App.
• Deletion: Request account deletion at any time — see our Account Deletion page.
• Opt-Out: Unsubscribe from promotional notifications via App settings.
• Portability: Request a data export by emailing us.

9. Third-Party Services

The App may use third-party SDKs for analytics, crash reporting, and push notifications. These services have their own privacy policies. We ensure they meet applicable data protection standards.
