Data Deletion Policy

Himachali Connect (operated by RajatWeb Technologies) is committed to protecting user privacy and providing full control over personal data. You have the fundamental right to request the permanent deletion of your account and all associated data at any time.

Important Notice: Account Deletion is Permanent

Once your deletion request is processed, your profile, active listings, conversations, verification data, and personal records cannot be recovered. Subscriptions must be cancelled via the respective app store.

1. What Data Gets Permanently Deleted

When you request account deletion or data removal across Himachali Connect platforms, the following categories of data are purged:

Identity & Profile Records: Full name, phone number, email address, password hashes, government ID verifications, and profile photographs.
Service-Specific Data: Matrimony profile information, gotra/caste details, and family preferences (Himachali Match); property listings, land documents, and contact preferences (Himachali Property).
Communications & Messages: In-app messages, inquiries, chats, and interest requests.
Device & Session Identifiers: Push notification tokens, login tokens, IP records, and active device sessions.

How to Request Data Deletion

Option 1

Direct Self-Service Inside Mobile Apps (Fastest)

All Himachali Connect applications provide a built-in, 1-click self-service deletion option directly in your account settings:

Open the App & Navigate to Profile / Account

Tap your profile avatar or the menu icon on the bottom navigation bar.

Go to Settings → Account Settings

Select "Account Management" or "Privacy & Security".

Tap "Delete Account" and Confirm

Confirm your password or verification OTP. Your account is deactivated instantly.

Option 2

Email Deletion Request

If you no longer have access to our mobile app or wish to request the deletion of data submitted via web forms, WhatsApp, or contact channels, you can send an email to our privacy team:

Recipient: app@himachaliconnect.com
Subject Line: User Data Deletion Request - [Your Phone Number]
Body: Specify your registered phone number, email address, and the specific application (e.g., Himachali Match, Himachali Property, or General Website).

We will verify your identity, initiate deletion within 48 hours, and send a confirmation email once completed.

Option 3

Facebook / Meta Login Data Deletion Instructions

If you used your Facebook or Meta account to log into any Himachali Connect service and wish to delete your platform activity data:

Go to your Facebook Account’s Settings & Privacy → Settings.
Look for Apps and Websites to view all apps linked to your Facebook account.
Search for Himachali Match or Himachali Property.
Click Remove and check the box to request deletion of your data.
Alternatively, email app@himachaliconnect.com with your Facebook User ID to have all associated records removed manually.

Deletion Timelines & Retention

• Immediate Deactivation: Your profile and listings become instantly invisible to other users upon confirmation.
• Permanent Purge (Within 30 Days): All personal information, photos, and chat histories are permanently overwritten from live databases and backup archives within 30 days.
• Statutory Exceptions: Financial invoice records (for purchases/subscriptions) or records required under Indian cyber laws and tax regulations are maintained strictly as required by law for the mandated statutory period.
